Notification settings for musicians

Choose which email notifications help you keep up with gig offers, gig changes, maybe replies, and gig summaries.

Gixtra can send you email notifications so you do not miss important gig information.

You can manage these emails in your profile menu under Settings -> Notifications.

New gig offer emails

When you are invited to a new gig, Gixtra can send you an email.

This email tells you that there is a new gig offer for you. You can open the gig, check the details, and reply whether you can attend.

We recommend keeping this notification turned on. Otherwise, you may miss new gig offers unless you check Gixtra manually.

Gig change notifications

Gixtra can also send you an email when something changes on a gig you participate in.

For example, you may get a notification when:

  • the arrival time changes
  • the soundcheck time changes
  • the location changes
  • the dress code changes
  • new files or notes are added
  • other important gig details are updated

You can turn these emails off, but we recommend keeping them on. Gig details often change, and these emails help you stay up to date without having to constantly check manually.

Notifications for gigs where you replied "maybe"

Sometimes you cannot give a final answer right away.

In Gixtra, the "maybe" reply is shown as a question mark. If you choose maybe, you should enter a reason so the booker knows why you cannot give a definitive answer yet.

Gixtra can notify you later to change your answer to either accept or decline.

These emails are turned on by default. You can turn them off in your notification settings.

Gig summary email before a gig

Gixtra can send you a gig summary email three days before a gig.

This email gives you a quick reminder of the important gig information, so you can prepare without searching for the gig again.

The summary may help you check details such as:

  • location
  • arrival time
  • soundcheck
  • concert time
  • dress code
  • setlist
  • tech rider
  • travel information
  • other gig notes

This email is useful even if you already have the gig in your calendar, because the calendar usually gives you only the overview. Gixtra contains the full gig information.

You can turn the gig summary email off in your notification settings if you do not want to receive it.

Recommended settings for musicians

For most musicians, we recommend keeping these notifications turned on:

  • new gig offer emails
  • gig change notifications
  • notifications for maybe replies
  • gig summary emails before a gig

That way, you are less likely to miss a new offer, an important change, or a gig that is coming up soon.
