Explanation

Automatic Offer Expiry

Set a reply deadline so unanswered offers are automatically declined.

Sometimes you need a fast answer.

If a client is waiting, or if you need to know quickly whether the band can play, waiting days for replies can cost you the gig.

Automatic offer expiry lets the booker set a time limit for replies.

How automatic expiry works

When creating or editing a gig offer, the booker can turn on automatic expiry.

The booker then sets a time limit in hours.

The default is 48 hours, but the booker can enter another number, such as 24, 72, or any other useful time limit.

If a participant does not reply before the time runs out, Gixtra automatically counts the offer as declined.

When to use automatic expiry

Use automatic expiry when:

  • You need to confirm quickly whether the band can play
  • You need to invite a replacement if someone does not answer
  • You do not want to wait forever for non-replies
  • The client is waiting for an answer

What musicians should know

If an offer has automatic expiry, reply before the deadline.

If you do not reply in time, Gixtra treats it as if you declined the gig.
